Starting a challenge

On first launch, Start Protocol 75 loads the standard seven daily tasks over 75 days, beginning today. Build your own lets you set any length and any tasks, and give each task its own weekday schedule so a Monday/Wednesday/Friday task only counts on those days.

Why did my run reset?

In strict mode, a day that ends with a task unticked resets the run to day one. That is the rule the app exists to enforce. You can turn strict off when creating or editing a challenge — the streak then becomes a record rather than a rule.

Your history is not lost when a run resets. Every attempt is kept, and you can see them all under Progress.

Pacts

Create a Pact to get a ten-character join code, or enter someone else's code to join theirs. The owner approves who appears in the roster, and can remove a member.

Anyone who has the code can read the Pact's records, so share it only with people you mean to. Codes expire after seven days; the owner can generate a new one at any time from the invite sheet.

If a roster looks out of date, it refreshes on its own within about twenty seconds, or immediately when you reopen the Pact.

Steps and Apple Health

Add a step-goal task in the challenge builder and grant Health access when asked. The task then ticks itself when you reach the goal. Step count is the only thing read. If steps are not updating, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Protocol 75 and confirm Steps is enabled.

Widgets and the watch

Add a widget from the Home Screen or Lock Screen as usual. If you run more than one challenge, long-press the widget and choose Edit Widget to pick which one it follows.

The watch app gets its data from your paired iPhone. If the watch looks empty, open the app on your phone once while the watch is nearby.

Subscriptions

Your first day is free — you can build a run and log it end to end before anything is asked for. After that a subscription keeps you logging. Reading is never gated: your grid, your stats and every finished challenge stay visible whether you are subscribed or not.

Already subscribed on another device? Use Restore Purchases in Settings, or in the watch app's settings.

To cancel, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops the renewal; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.

iCloud and multiple devices

Everything syncs through your own iCloud account, so your phone, iPad and watch stay in step automatically. If a device looks behind, check that it is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive turned on, and give it a moment on a connection.

Something else

Bugs, feature requests, and complaints all go to the same place: protocol75support@icloud.com. Telling me what you expected to happen and what happened instead makes a fix much faster.
